Hello,
I have a Dell U2415 monitor connected to my mid-2011 iMac 27" via DisplayPort. Is there any way to use the iMac's ambient light sensor to automatically adjust the brightness of the external monitor, just as it does for the built-in iMac display? This should be fairly easy to implement using DDC/CI (which the Dell supports), but it does not appear that Apple has implemented DDC/CI support in El Capitan. The light in my work environment changes throughout the day and the iMac's automatic brightness adjustment is a great feature that I miss on the Dell monitor - I have to constantly adjust it to match the built-in display.
Are there any third-party apps to achieve this? I wasn't able to find any.
Thanks!
