automatic brightness in system report M1 MBA

On my new M1 MBA, in the system report info there is a "no" in the the automatic brightness line. Here's what is says: 'Automatically Adjust Brightness: No'. However, automatic brightness is enabled and it works fine. How is that possible? Is this supposed to be like that?
 
I just got the base 14" MBP and my system report is displaying the same result for the built-in display. Wondering if just a software bug since the auto brightness does automatically adjust.
