Automatic Display Dimming

Hey guys,

So I don't like the "Automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes" feature in OS X, and I keep unchecking the option in Display Preferences... but it doesn't stay that way. It seems like every time I get back on my computer it's dimming by itself again. Is there something I'm completely missing?
