Hi All,

I'm having a very frustrating problem. My MacBook Pro is a few years old and has started automatically add two spaces between every word that I type (I'm on a different computer now--that's why it doesn't appear that way). I've tried to change settings in Word to left justify, etc but the issue appears over every program that I type in (email, etc). I've had other people actually try the space bar to see if I'm doing some thing accidentally but they too get the same issue.

Any ideas on how I can get back to just one space between words?

Thanks in advance!

It may be a hardware problem. Try booting up to another system -- installer disk, recovery partition, external disk, etc -- and see if the problem is still there. (You might have to use Terminal to get a text prompt.)

Can you borrow a usb keyboard (can be a PC one) and see if you get the double spacing when using that.
