After today's update to macOS Catalina 10.15.5 from 10.15.4 I noticed that my modifications made to the /etc/zshrc file are gone. The file has taken a defaulted form.
Is this normal behavior when updating? Is there a list of files that take their default status after the update?
Thx.

When Apple overwrites a configuration file in /etc, the previous file is usually set aside and renamed (e.g. “zshrc~previous”). Has this not happened in your case?

There is no list I am aware of. Is there a particular reason why you are changing /etc/zshrc instead of $HOME/.zshrc?
