I have an iPhone 4s and an iPad mini both running 6.01. Both are setup to do automatic iCloud backups when plugged in an on Wifi. Both sit plugged in all night long and connected to my home wifi.

On my iPhone: I pick it up around 5:00 am every morning as I start my day. If I go into settings -iCloud and look at the last backup time it shows the time I picked up the phone and unlocked the screen. So if I actually unlock the screen at 5:00am it shows the last backup at 5:00 am. I know it isn't actually doing a backup in the time I unlock and look at back up time. So I really have no idea when it actually backed up. I do manually back it up to iCloud to be certain but on iCloud if I need to restore will it be looking for and restoring from this phoney 5:00 am backup? Anyone else having this? Didn't happen before IOS 6.

On my mini it never takes automatic backups. I check and the last backup maybe a manual one that I took several days before. It has never taken an automatic backup.

Any ideas?

Thanks
