automatic resizing in aperture 2 - annoying

I uploaded and whittled down what I wanted my final images to be from my assignment tonight and I put these images in a folder on the desktop straight from aperture 2. When I uploaded them it went way too fast and I realized it was because aperture 2 automatically resized all of my photos from their native resolution to my screen resolution. This is annoying and can't happen, how do I fix this? Thanks
