Automatic wallpaper dimming?

When I use the automatic option for Home Screen customization, it doesn’t automatically dim my wallpaper. Why does this only work for the icons?! Is there a shortcut I can program that will do that for me?

I noticed this as well.

I’m hoping it’s just a bug. The inconsistency annoys me.

Yeah, came here searching for an answer. So it is what it is, can’t understand why  can’t be consistent in these little things.

I hope it’s a bug, but unfortunately I think it’s not and simply no one thought this through.
