Automatically backing up folders to a thumb drive?

Are there any apps out there that will automatically update the contents of my flash drive when I plug it in? I use my thumbdrive to keep documents for my classes, like java files for my programming class or papers etc. It would be fantastic to be able to just plug my flashdrive in and if I have added a document into certain folders it will copy those files onto my flashdrive.

Any advice?

I recently purchaed Chronosync which is amazing for this task and keeping my school files in sync with my thumb drive and a cloned folder on my Mac at home.

However, I found an awesome online service that simplifies online anywhere storage: dropbox.com; however, I haven't mastered the ability to sync my dropbox.com foldero n my computer with a thumb drive fo an all in one package...
