Hey guys and girls-
This may be a stupid question, but is there an app/setting/something that will automatically connect my macbook to my local media server when in range of my wireless?

Its not really a hassle, but every time I leave my house with my macbook (which is quite often), it obviously disconnects from the server, so whenever I come back i have to go to finder, connect to server, and connect that way. I know its possible in seven, just am not sure if its in snow leopard or not.

The server is running windows server 03 and Im running 10.6.2

Thanks!

Have you tried adding the folder you always go to (maybe your home directory) to the Sidebar? It should automatically reconnect if your password is saved.

For some reason, I couldn't add it to the side bar. If it makes any difference, i use the SMB protocol to connect to the server.

I've got an SMB connection for a server at work and I'm able to add any folder below the main share. For example, when I connect, the server is called "Home." I cannot add that, but I can add my user folder within "Home."
