Automatically Connect to WAN

I have an iBook G4 right now and i'd love to have it automatically connect to my wireless network whenever I login or return from sleep. Currently I have to manually connect to it, by clicking on the airport icon and selecting my network. I have been able to do that on my friends 12" PB, but I don't remember how do do it anymore

For mine I set it via System Preferences/Network
Then under show I chose Airport then by Default I changed from automatic to preferred Networks and made sure that my network was the first one on the list

Now it automatically connects to my network on startup or from sleep
