So, I created an automation on my 16Pro to automatically lock my Toyota vehicle's doors 45 seconds after CarPlay disconnects because for some reason Toyota does not include this function natively. The automation invokes the Toyota app's function to remotely lock the doors. In any case, it works great once but then next time fails. I get an alert that it failed and when I check the Toyota app I see that I have been "signed out for security reasons". The app had been set to stay logged in and to open with face ID, but both of those are negated and I have to enter user and password to log back in. Good grief.

Being signed out is what caused the automation to fail. So, what the heck is causing this problem and is there a workaround? My guess it is some idiosyncrasy built into the app but thought I'd ask to see if anyone here has seen similar with other apps and come up with a solution.

So your assumption is that the automation running, is what CAUSES the app to sign out? 🤔 Possible I suppose.

I suspect you'll need to get Toyota tech support involved.

IDK for sure but the app never does this otherwise. I had been signed in continuously for ~ a year. Only thing I can think of is that after the automation executes successfully it leaves the app in a state of confusion so it logs out? But IDK. I am just going to have to let this go since Toyota will be of no help. I am also curious if Android automations cause the same issue in the Android app.
