Hi Guys,
I'm still learning about Automator, and hoping you guys can help me out.
I would like to create a workflow that opens a website and clicks a specific button (it's a voting site). So far I am able to open the site automatically but have reached a brick wall when I want it to click the button. I have tried using the 'record' function to no avail.
Could anyone shed some light?

Update: Using record and having safari already open I am now able to get onto the second page (the applicant is on the second page) however when I scroll over and click on the vote button, automator doesn't follow and instead comes up with an error.

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Jack

Use applescript

When you open apple script just push record and do your workflow. Then push stop and ave it as a script buy going to file>save as. :D I found automaator hard to use and learn.

It doesn't seem to be working I hit record and it appears to be recording (record greys out), when I hit stop nothing comes up in the window, and nothing happens when I hit run.
I tried it with both safari and chrome in case chrome wasn't on the scriptable applications.

I'm having limited success with automator virtual input, although it doesn't seem to recording my clicks, even when I have entered the 'run virtual input actions' at the end.

Can anyone help?
