Beyond the "record keystokes and mouse clicks", is "automator" any good for automating tasks in non-apple applications? In particular, can it be used with Adobe's Lightrooom and/or Photoshop?

Are there any libraries or tools that extend automator's usefulness? For example, I'd like to be able to not only bring up a webpage with automator, but also fill in a form and submit the form (via POST - not GET.)

Should I just stop being lazy and teach myself applescript? (Can applescript be used for logging on to a webpage, submitting forms, etc?)

Thanks
Gary
