macOS Automator / AppleScript to rescan ID3 tags in iTunes

I'm updating ID3 tags outside of iTunes and would like to 'import' these changes into iTunes. I used to just select all songs than right click > Get Info. That would automatically pull the updated ID3 tags for each song. It appears that this no longer works in iTunes 10, so I am looking for an alternative solution. I'm looking for an Automator workflow and/or AppleScript that either needs to "Get Info" for every song (or "Get Info" for the first song and continue pressing "Next" until the last one) OR needs to play every song for a second. Unfortunately I have no experience with either Automator nor Applescript. Perhaps someone could help me out here?
