I'm trying to create a script to automate unzipping for zip from placed in Downloads. I use Firefox for the browser if it helps.

It's not working

Choose /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications/Archive Utility.app instead of default

It works, but it looks like I'll need to add a timer in there first as it tries to open the file while downloading. Is there a way to not have to set a static timer?

Here’s another way:
Set “Always Open Similar Files” for a zip file in the Downloads panel options

If Archive Utility is already set as default, that’s it. If another application is set to open zip files, go to Firefox’s settings General - Applications and set “Use Archive utility” for ZIP files.
This is from Firefox 115.1.0esr, I have BetterZip set as default app in macOS.
