Autorun programs without opening the main window

Hi guys

I'm looking for a way to "Open at Login" various programs I have in my dock without opening the main window (like Mail, Skype, MSN and so on). Any idea?

Go to System Preferences > User. Go to the Login Items tab, and look for the applications you want to hide on opening. Check the box next to them.
