if i made a save version, lets say a jpeg image in preview, it'll save all the version i made changes and I can revert a previous saved. If i trash the file, would it also trash other previous version of the file ? thx

It would trash the whole file and all versions of it

versions of a file are stored separately to the file and need the file to be there to work

If you use Time Machine though you will be able to get it after you have trashed it in most cases. And then the "Previous Version" You get from Time Machine should contain all tend at a if I'm not wrong?
