iPod Aux. input adapter in my Honda is pausing iPod mini

I have an aux input adapter connected to the headunit in my Honda. This runs both the rear entertainment system and my wife's iPod mini. Just recently she started noticing that the mini would pause. She thought it was getting bumped and activating the button but yesterday while holding it the iPod would pause every few seconds.

Could the aux input be sending a surge or something to the iPod via the headphone jack? Any other clues? Here iPod does not pause when using earbuds or the inMotion speakers.

Sounds like it may be the aux adapt. itself...does it have settings or anything...I never had a problem using the ipod in the car.

It seems like the iPod thinks it's being unplugged from the headphone jack. Every time you unplug the headphones during playback, it pauses.

Try a different aux. cable...might help
