Does anyone know which Avahi version should be running in order Lion could connect to the share? Currently running avahi-daemon 0.6.27 and Lion says that it's not supported version of the server.

avahi running AFP shares.

It's not avahi, it's the AFP server. Avahi announces your NAS/shares via Bonjour, but when you try to connect it's actually the AFP server on your NAS that does the work. As I noted in another thread (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1102423/), the version of the AFP server (netatalk) on many NAS devices does not support some features now required by Apple. You should contact your NAS device manufacturer to request they build support for the new version of netatalk.
