Forgive me if there's already a thread on this, I can't find one.

I'm assuming that there's usually a few past-gen notebooks that haven't sold at individual Apple stores before new product launches... can these be purchased for refurb prices at the stores, or is it wiser to just snap up a refurb online? I'm lucky enough to live three miles from a store, and want to avoid the shipping costs/wait time if possible.

Oh, and never mind about the shipping costs bit, I just reminded myself that there are none. The wait, though, I DO want to avoid! I've been waiting for a functioning laptop for far too long. Should have just bought one earlier, but I suppose I AM saving money.
