Availability of Space Gray Magic Trackpd

Anyone have any explanation as to why this thing is OOS everywhere? Plentiful supply of the white version. Keyboard and mouse in space gray are all good too. But Apple has a two week delay on delivery. Adorama, Best Buy, B&H and Target are all OOS. Amazon doesn’t even have a product page anymore.

This hasn’t been hinted to be on the way out, right?

There was a rumor a while back of a new trackpad with pencil support but I don’t think it’s imminent or the reason for the shipping delay. The space gray has been OOS at most third party sites for a while now. I can only speculate supply is low due to shortages and popularity of the color. Also lots of people now working from home.

All that said, every Apple store in my area (Colorado) has them in stock.
