I havent seen this posted anywhere, has availability been an issue on launch day for the MBP's in the past ? I know its a nightmare for products like the iphone 4 and such, was wondering what kind of supply the apple store and bestbuy will have as I dont plan on ordering mine online ?

I have never seen a store jam packed over new MBP to the point you can't get one. If you want upgraded specs then you might have a problem no matter what though.

An iPhone 4 crowd dropping $200 does not equate with a crowd ready to drop $1200+ on new laptops. Even if they are liquid metal beasts

I was thinking the same thing about the price, most people get the new iphone on a upgrade contract with network supplier. I will be hitting the stores by 3 o clock on Thursday if they get released, with hopefully little to no issues.
