Sorry for the dumb question.
When they say that it's "available to ship within 24 hours," do they mean that it will be deployed within 24 hours or it will arrive in my place within 24 hours?

It will be deployed within 24 hours. If you go through the process of adding it to the cart, you will get a more concrete date on when it'll arrive at your door (for me, in the northeast, it said Oct 29 with standard shipping, Oct 28 with the $15 rush option).

From past experience, the date they provide is generally the latest it should arrive. I spoke with Apple today and they said the same. The rep I spoke with mentioned that my order should ship within the day and he would not be surprised if the rMBP showed up on Friday.

My current expected arrival date is 10/29.
