I have a matte screen late 2007 mbp. its got the 2.4ghz core 2 duo, 4gb of ram and the standard 160gb hdd.

I've read that latter models will assign more ram than apple officially supports, will this be the case with my mbp or is it only he unibody model.

Also my 160gb hdd isn't big enough specially as i need windows 7 installed which needs more than 30gb with all the apps i need. Whats the best hdd for me to upgrade too? I need a minimum of 300gb, is it worh going for a 7200RPM drive? I use 3dsmax a lot which is extremely memory intensive. Is it worth me waiting for solid state drives to come down in price?

Any recommended supplier's in the uk?

I believe Seagate makes a great 500GB 7.2k laptop harddrive, best bang for your buck at 500GB ;)

h ok thanks.....do you know if it includes the same features as the original apple hdd. AKA has the freefall sensor and possibly NCQ?
