Got a friend who's a real power user and is thinking about the 6 plus as I've told him my note 4 battery life has been dissapointing on android 5.0

He only wants the bigger version.

I get between 9 and 10 hours of usage time. That's mainly web browsing over WiFi, a couple of short phonecalls, several SMS and the odd Whatsapp convo. The 6+ has the longest lasting battery of any phone I've used but it isn't absolutely knockout. It will definitely see you through the day on one charge though, which can't be said for most phones if you're a heavy user.

Any decent widgets?

terrible. i would say 4-6 hours nowadays. used to get solid 6-8 hours of super heavy usage (max bright and watching videos etc), but only get 4-6 hours now of mixed usage (calls, web browsing, 50% bightness). i have apple watch connected tho. i think it had an adverse effect.

my battery still says it has 2800mah tho

I doubt the watch is a major contributor to your battery use.

You are correct - I don't have an Apple watch but I have an iPad so I use that a lot instead of my iPhone AND I'm at home a lot of the time (I don't work) so my first port of call is often my iPad

it really ranges and depends on what kind of apps you're using. I average 6-10 hours. 6 if I use intense apps like youtube, safari with flash, thinkorswim trading platform, gps intensive apps. 10 if its just email, msging and casual browsing.

I never really turn it off, up at 5:30 every working day. Connected to my Apple Watch permanantly also, so using bluetooth. Additionally I usually have it connected to my PowerBeats yet I probably plug it in at 11:30 in the evening with 40% at the very lowest. Usually I would say high 50s and low 60s.
