I have the 3GS and I noticed that it slows down a bit and the RAM ( i think that's what it is ) at the top said something like 60 MB. I deleted alot of stuff, even Lockinfo and right now its at 142, highest I've seen is 160. I think its advertised as having 250 MB. I just want to know if this is normal, and what's the average RAM it usually has going on while everything is running in the background.

142? That does seems like a bit low. Right now with some apps running in the background, I have 260. The highest I've seen on my phone is 310-320ish. I dont have 3G on.

OP has a 3G (256mb RAM), if you have 310+mb of RAM available then you don't have a 3G which pretty much nullifies the comparison.

lol, the iPhone 3G doesn't even have 142 of Ram!

u must be in hurry to rush to the bunker avoiding the rapture? LOL :p

I mean the "3G Setting", not the iPhone verision; sorry. xD Yea... Busy at work that';sd why.

on my iphone 4 with winterboard and ms tweaks, i once got 386mb ram.
and ss'd it because i've never seen it that high before.

usually i'll get around 310-350mb
