Average Shipping Time on new 17" MBP

Hey, I preordered the new 17" MBP on January 9th, I got some custom configurations (2.9 ghz, 7200rpm HD, antiglare display). It said 4-6 weeks for shipping. When I checked apple's status it said 'ships feb 23, arrives feb 27.

Does Apple ever ship its pre-orders earlier than it lists on their website??


Also, when can I expect to see cases/sleeves for it to be available?

I got OS X tiger a day early, so I guess its possible. Unlikely Though.

I reckon taking the Matte option is what set your date back so far. The latest dates I've seen for glossy are the 10th on shipping and 13th on delivery (Of February)
