I am a new mac user and was wondering how you watch these certain files (avi and wav files) on my new 17 inch Powerbook!!! Do I have to download files?? I am more interested in the avi files!!! Please help.

VLC is the answer
VLC would be your program of choice. It can sometimes be buggy, but thats probably more to do with dodgy avi encodings... I dunno. Works for me.

To play .avi files, download and install the DivX QuickTime codec. To play .wav files, download and install nothing. iTunes plays .wav files.chrisleeroth said:
