AVI files - can't play

Hi. not sure where this should be posted. sorry....

having problems playing a number of avi file i've dowloaded recently. is there any software out there which might help?

I use VLC. It works pretty darn well and it's free!

instead of vlc, you can try perian. i like opening my videos in quicktime.
