AVI files on iPhone 4

Hi everybody,
on the Apple website, i noticed that on the iPhone 4 tech specs page, in the TV and Video section they speak about the possibility of play AVI files on iOS4. Instead, if you go on the iPod Touch page, this is not mentioned.

My question is: does iOS 4 support AVI format??

I do not believe so i think its only mp4 for now? Would make a nice update tho, that and being able to display whats on your screen via composite/component

There's a Cydia app that lets you display on a monitor anything on screen.
