I know this query keeps being raised - and the proposed solutions increasingly become less effective with system updates.

I usually join avi files with MPEG Streamclip, but have one instance where it's not handling them - the latter part of the combined file 'judders'.

I don't want to re-encode, and hence want an alternative joiner.

re avi joiner

If you have QTPro which you can buy for about $30 from apples web site this can do it as long as it can actually open your particular AVI files. Now all AVI files are created the same.

All you have to do is open them. Then click on one window at a time "Select All" then "Copy" then go back to what ever one is the first movie, then move the play head to the end of the player and "Paste" and it will add it to the end of the previous video. Then export to what ever you need.

Thanks.

That suggestion requires re-encode - which I want to avoid.

Since posting, I've been using AddMovie - seems to work fine.
