AVI to MAC Sound issue.

I am using streameclip to convert my avi files form my camcorder and the video is ok but no sound . I have tried all the formats and all the same. is there a better program or what settings should i be using. when i open the files in widows they all work great. I want to make a movie using these files with imovie what are some suggestions please.

I experienced the very same issue. I ended up buying the Quicktime MPEG2 encoder for $19 from the Apple Quicktime site. After that, all worked nicely. Good luck

I've got Flip4Mac pro, all the codecs Apple features; nothing worked.
VLC works, but you can't edit; exports fail or crash VLC.

Forget VLC.

This works.
