Hey all. I have a video that is in avi format but it won't play on my mac. I have installed DIVX, VLC, mPlayer, latest quicktime with no luck. When I open the file all I get is the audio and no video. Does anyone know of a way around this. The file plays on my roommates PC just fine... thanks!

If you're not sure what codec(s) you're missing, download GSpot (no worries- it's a codec information program, I swear!) on your roommate's PC and use it to see what codecs the file needs to run. It's a great little program, but unfortunately it's only available for Windows.
