so i have a bunch of plugins installed, specifically flip4mac, but for some reason, all my .avi's must be played through VLC if i want sound. Anyone know of a solution to this?

You should only have two QuickTime plugins; Flip4Mac and Perian. Chuck all the other ones out and just have those two.

If you AVI files don't work then, then please post the relevant codec information. Chances are you'll have to use VLC, Movist or MPlayer OSX Extended anyway.

question

in which directory i should place the plugin flies?
i have Dvix movies which looks like the quicktime does not play the audio of those.
what should i do?
thanks...

Just Google for Flip4Mac and Perian. They have installers that will do all the work for you. Then sit back and enjoy your avis!
