I'm not sure if anyone has ever done business with them, but they do custom paint on certain products such as AirPods. I ordered a pair of Black AirPods from them last year, and was very happy with them (although it doubles the price of them). They do nice work and I was happy with how they looked.
Long story short I take very good care of my tech and cleaned the AirPods regularly with the solution they provide and kept them in a felt pouch. Over time, I've noticed the paint has started to chip. I got them last October and haven't even had them a year. I wrote them, and asked if they provided any type of touch up paint to their product as its supposed to come with a 1 year warranty. I wasn't asking for a replacement, just if they did any touch up as these were very expensive items. Below is the response I got from them, word for word:
"We are having a lot of issues with customers not maintaining their product and trying to send it back for repair or replacement. Not maintaining your product is considered accidental damage which it clearly states in our policy. We only warranty on non-accidental defects, which 9 times out of 10 the defect occurs because they aren't being cleaned. This is why we put the card about protecting your paint in your airpod box."
Thats all I got from them. Talk about rotten customer service. I can understand if I was complaining and asking for a refund, but that's not what I was doing. I was simply asking them how their warranty worked and if they would possibly touch the AirPods up. Its the last time I'll order anything from them and based on their email above, I'm not the only one who is having issues with their paint chipping.
