HomeKit Avoiding HomeKit upgrade

We'll thanks Apple but I don't want you stuffing my iPad Home hub option by trying to trick me into upgrading.

So, has anyone been able to get rid of the iOS Apple Home Update Recommended warning which has gone from optional to only Update Now ?

I don't think you can. My parents are in the same situation (using their iPad as a hub), so I told them not to upgrade.

Since it's more in your face now and a badge that won't go away, I have a feeling Apple is going to make the new Home architecture mandatory and force the upgrade in iPadOS 19.

There is a "Keep Legacy Architecture" configuration profile from Apple... I wonder if installing that profile will do the trick and block the upgrade?
