We'll thanks Apple but I don't want you stuffing my iPad Home hub option by trying to trick me into upgrading.

So, has anyone been able to get rid of the iOS Apple Home Update Recommended warning which has gone from optional to only Update Now ?

Thanks.

I don't think you can. My parents are in the same situation (using their iPad as a hub), so I told them not to upgrade.

Since it's more in your face now and a badge that won't go away, I have a feeling Apple is going to make the new Home architecture mandatory and force the upgrade in iPadOS 19.

There is a "Keep Legacy Architecture" configuration profile from Apple... I wonder if installing that profile will do the trick and block the upgrade?

I keep getting this reminder often now.
I have no plans on buying a HomePod or AppleTV.
In fact this makes me want to migrate away from HomeKit.

Who’d waste their money on a dumb HomePod or an Apple TV with its own restrictions, when you don’t need or want them for any other purpose ? Both are due updates soon so it would be a double whammy.
