FYI, if you use security keys on your iCloud account, AVP 1.0 will not allow you to sign in.

You get a cryptic message saying keys are not supported (for obvious reasons) but that you can use an iPhone or iPad to sign in. I couldn’t get or find that option anywhere, so was forced to remove my security keys, sign in to AVP, and then restore my keys.

I don’t know if this was fixed in 1.02 as the device was already registered to my account.

When you say security keys what are you talking about? Are you talking about hardware keys that you have to plug in in order to authenticate? If so, clearly you wouldn’t be able to use them with AVP. However, if you’re talking about passkeys, they do appear to work. they use the iris authentication.

Yep, I’m talking about hardware security keys, which Apple basically uses to control new devices being added to your account. If you have security keys registered with your account, you have to delete them first.
