Anyone else experiencing a faint electrical buzz / coil whine noise primarily coming from the left side of the AVP?

For some reason, it seems to be most prominent when scrolling through things. I’m wondering if maybe it’s the battery connector, which is pretty close to the ear.

Yes, i have this. Subtle, but there, at least when not using air pods in a very quiet environment. For me, not a reason to return the device, but I can't deny that it is there

Didn’t notice this but my crown dial makes a fairly clear squeaking noise when spinning it 😂

Same here - haven't noticed. Loss of high frequency hearing over the years.

I am also not one to go looking for trouble. Maybe I would hear it in a really silent room but since I never use it with volume at zero or in a totally quiet environment, dont really care. I did convince myself if I bent over the rear vent and pressed my ear to the Mac Studio I could hear something, but I found it hard to see the monitor in that position so I let it go.

Not to take away from the pain of those that this bothers, but the list of things that bothers others and I ignore is long and distinguished. Maybe it's a generational thing. I am happy if something works.

This is normal in a lot of laptops, and exactly like on a laptop, when scrolling the sound is more intense due to CPU/GPU working in that precise moment. It also happens while playing videogames

It's more obvious when scrolling because the speakers are silent, if you're playing a game the sound from the game hides the coil whine
