Hi guys; I have a quick question.

Tomorrow I'm getting my iPad, and I want to load it up with a bunch of .mkv files. My only problem is that they have subtitles. I know on my Mac VLC has the option to turn them off. Does AVPlayerHD on iPad/iPhone have this option? Want to find this out before I fork up the $2.99.

Thanks!

You can. Just remember

- the interface is pretty illogical when it comes to switching between multiple sub/audio tracks

- it won't render SSA subs (if you're playing Japanese stuff, it's pretty useless)

All I care about Is subtitles, and being able to turn them off. :)
Do you have a different suggestion?

You should be able to touch the "speech bubble" icon on the right hand side of the screen while the video is playing. It should display the current language of subtitle playing, and touching the left or right arrows should turn off subtitles.

1. See above - the speech bubble. Again, if you have multiple sub tracks, the selection is pretty much hidden to an illogical place.

2. Subtitle-wise, I myself prefer nPlayer - and, for animated SSA subs, HD Player Pro. Nevertheless, AVPlayerHD is also a great player.
