AW 3 is stuck in upgrade

Hello,

I have AW3 stuck in upgrade to Watch OS 8.1. I can pair/unpair it and reset during update. My Iphone 12 has latest IOS. Invariably, watch app on Iphone claims I am not connected to internet during upgrade, than says unable to check for update, than proceeds to update and that comes full circle. Tried another Iphone 12.

EDIT: Turning off the other AW did the trick...
