AW 4 purchased in US , ECG and other options work abroad ?

planning to get AW 4 (GPS) in US, will the ECG and all other options work in another’s country ? I remember the keynote saying that ecg will work only in US , does it mean ecg will work only in (watches purchased in US)?

Only the ECG should be exclusive to the US (they are waiting on the countries medical approval) and the rest of the options should work. Although the ECG is not actually available anywhere as even in the US they are waiting for an update to enable it (it should show up soon).

I image that they are using the App store account country to control the enabling of the ECG. So you might have to use a different account until they release it in your chosen country. Maybe wait until they enable it before buying it, as there will be instructions on how to enable it on your watch.

Thanks for the response, so I assume the following steps would do good in my case
1. Purchase AW4 in US preferably after the ECG update is available in US
2. Log in with an US based iClould account and set it up with the iPhone in my home country
3. After the pairing is done , change the icloud account (Awww , does ECG still be available if I change the icloud ??, fingers grossed!!)

I would imagine changing your account to another country could affect ECG working.

I think (I hope) that it will be the same like the first Siri, only with an US account would Siri work in other counties,
and probably the same for the ECG function.
