Anyone sporting an Apple Watch since April 24th, 2015? I certainly had ordered one, but mine didn't arrive till May 5th. Great memories of that first unboxing! Anyone got any release day stories?

April 27th for me. It didn't show up until the following Monday. Pretty sure there hasn't been a day since then that I haven't worn it. I can't believe it's been five years. My only real memory from unboxing it was how heavy the case was that the original one came in. I've still got it somewhere.

I wore that original one until the battery stopped making it through the day, and I upgraded to a Series 3. It's probably going to be awhile before I upgrade again since this Series 3 is still going rock solid. Still 97% battery life, and I've had it on for over four hours.

Time flies. My watch didn’t arrive until later in May in think. Still works on this day.

Think I got mine last in the day on the 24th.

I've been wearing one since launch day - ordered it to a relative's house so I could guarantee somebody would be in to sign for it and went to pick it up in the evening! I bought a 42mm Apple Watch Sport with white band. I wore it practically every day until October 2017 when I upgraded to a Series 3.

I remember being amazed by the Watch OS UI, and the heavy plastic case it was presented in. I understand it was probably terrible for the environment so prefer the paper boxes of recent times, but it was a beautiful way to be shown the watch for the first time.

Yeah, let’s just say I was a bit obsessed with the Apple Watch in the beginning...😁

Man, the unboxing of the first one was so fun. They used to really use quality packaging for the watch and the bands. Honestly, you should get more than a paper/cardboard box for the link band and even the others that are $100 and more. I guess it’s not a big deal, but I appreciated it some.

I suppose Apple do care about the environment :) I have noticed they are using less and less plastic, e.g. they used to use plastic to wrap the charger and cable but now they are using paper instead which is awesome!
