AW 7 (GPS+Cellular) + watchOS 8.1.1 ?

Apple Watch series 7 Charging issues.

Have been having issues charging my Apple Watch series 7. Getting the watch replaced on Monday but was wondering if anyone else has that problem. The watch randomly stops charging and does not charge, I have to remove the watch from the charger several times to get it to start charging again...

Unfortunately many reports did not specify the AW7 version (GPS only vs GPS + Cellular) or which watchOS (8.1 vs 8.1.1)

I believe the issue was fixed with the update I could be wrong but that's what I read ..

I read that the 8.1.1 update fixed the charging issue(s) with the AW7 Cellular version, too.

I was hoping that those who had the charging issue(s) would post whether 8.1.1 had in fact fixed the issue(s) for them.

I didn’t have a chance to find out if I had the issue or not, but it certainly did fix it. Had my S7 for a full 30 minutes before having to send it in for repair. Unpacked, synced, put it on the charger to update to 8.1.1 and went for a meeting. Came back to a bricked watch.

No charging issues at all after that ?

I only had the charging issue happen twice in a little less than 3 weeks on 8.1. Since updating to 8.1.1 I haven't had the issue, but it's probably still too soon to know for sure.
