S5 Ceramic Battery is not well. Fast drain. Decided on battery replace.
I googled the shipping address on the label as I have had terrible experience in the past with my MBP being sent out via AC to 3rd party centers. Looks to be a main Apple -direct- warehouse in Elk Grove CA.

Should I be concerned about sending in my Ceramic in for battery swap ?
Or like my MBP, better off visiting the genius bar ?

They won’t replace the battery, they’ll send you a refurb one (assuming they have it in stock). Do you have AC+? Does your battery health show less than 80%? If not, they will not replace.

Going to need to repair-to check stats. No clue on health. Getting about 3 1/2 hrs on it. Called Apple. Paid the Battery Repair via the repair link the rep sent. Box arrived a day later. About to ship this but decided to check with the MR AW gang to see if it's riskee.......after having a bad experience with repair on the MBP, that's when I googled the shipping address and it turns out it was being subbed/sent to 3rd party shops.

Now as I am typing this response- got me thinking, assuming the system took my serial # for submission for the repair, would't the system had informed/red-flagged the -tech on the phone- if inventory status would have been a issue, when the repair/case was setup

Packed and ready to give to FedEx.

Per Post #2, refurb - what is the possibility this has been sitting in inventory for quite some time ?

Batteries have a declining age the minute they are produced - and that's in general, regardless of any battery chemistry.
