Hey all,

yesterday I decided to upgrade from my S0 to a S3 Wifi. Went to my local Apple Store and found one! It’s incredible fast and responsive, nice!

But today I went for a morning run. After my shower I cleaned the watch with warm water, but since then the mic is busted!

Hey Siri? Not working.
Phone calls? Absoluteley nothing comes through!

I used the water lock multiple times, but no Progress. The sound also changed from cery clean and nice to much less loud and muddy.

WTF? I even showered with my old S0 and nothing ever happend in 2+ years!

Watch is charging now..

Got AC. What should I do? :(

Had a call with apple. Will recieve my replacement within 48hrs. I hope the new one will last a little longer :p
And I assume you can keep your current one in the mean time?

That, kids, is how customer service is done! *stares at my carrier* ;)

For what it’s worth, I’ve seen mic issues on my S2 watch frequently after showers. The water lock function clears water from the speaker, but not the mic. Usually waiting a few hours for the water to evaporate or blowing into the mic hole fixes it. I haven’t showered enough with my S3 watch to know if it will behave similarly, but I would imagine so as the design hasn’t changed much.

I would guess that your mic will be working fine now.

Sadly, my mic is still not working. Was looking for information like this (s2 issues) but couldn‘t find any.

Yes. I can keep my watch till the new one arrives, which is nice.
