AW S8 - Why is there no Space Grey/Black (Aluminium)

On the release of the Series 7 I was disappointed that there was no Space Grey (or close to black) option, and as such, I decided not to upgrade and continue with my Series 6 (aluminium) Space Grey whilst awaiting the release of the Series 8.

Just as disappointed today in finding that there is no return of the Space Grey/Black, at least not on the Aluminium frame.

The closest is ‘Midnight’ of which I am not overly keen as it’s blue hue is obvious.

Is anyone else as disappointed as I..?

I was disappointed at the s7's lack of a space gray or space black option, wound up going with the green which I like very much. It's almost impossible to see that it's not a very dark gray unless the lighting is just right.

Unfortunately, even that's not an option in this year's color lineup.

Definitely a disappointment for me as well. I still have a Series 4 that's showing it's age. I had planned to upgrade this year, but there's not really an option for me to go to in the aluminum case without a black or space gray color.

I'm with you....the midnight color is very obviously blue.
