I've been away from Apple for a little over a year and just recently got back in with an 11 Pro Max and and AW Series 4, but a few things aren't working the same as back when I had a Series 1 over a year ago. I figured it's probably a setting somewhere which got worded differently or something.
So basically, I remember there used to be a setting which would silence your phone when your watch was being worn. So when I get notifications or the get a call, the phone wouldn't make a sound if I was wearing my watch, and the watch would vibrate.
With my new watch and phone, the phone still makes notification sounds, and my ringtone still plays when I am wearing my watch. I would like it to be the way it used to be.
In the Apple watch App, I have it set to Silent mode, and don't actually see anything that mentions to silence phone when watch is being worn.
Also, I've noticed when I get a text, email or phone call, the watch's screen doesn't light up to show me the what's up. I have to tap the screen to actually see it.
I figured these things are just settings somewhere which I must be overlooking. Anyone have any suggestions?
