I understand the AW speakers are waterproof, but why can't I play music directly from the AW. Like under the shower, this would be great to bathe to your favorite tracks yet AW doesn't allow this ...

Showering with music and maybe 0.3 Siri request a day would be the only use a sensible human would have for AW speakers to actually work as intended. That's 5-15min of speaker time a day. I don't reckon this would deplete the battery much.
Really wish I could play any audio I want through the speaker, it may be a small speaker but it's very decent for size. Ridiculous we are 6 os versions in and still can't do something so basic.
And the willingness of Apple to allow it.
On a side note, I can listen to the audio of my Logitech Cameras through the AW’s speakers via the HomeKit app. The capability is there, just not for music.
