I have an Ultra and a backup Apple SS 7. The Ultra updated very quickly but after 3 hours the SS7 still had not upgraded and was stuck on verifying on my iPhone 14 Pro Max (running iOS 17). Anyone else seen this issue? Restarting (soft reset) the phone and watch made no difference. The Ultra and S7 are paired to the same phone and I switch manually between the two watches. I have performed upgrades on both watches before, where the S7 always takes much longer but never this much longer.

Had the same issue and was unable to get access to the verification screen until I rebooted the S7 watch and SE2 iPhone. Sorry to hear rebooting didn't work for you.

Eventually I managed to get it to update. I reset and re-paired the watch and then it updated. Interestingly my wife had similar issues with her SS8, but it was an issue to do with signing on to the watch and then disconnecting from the wifi network and reconnecting after which the update went relatively smoothly if very very slowly. It kept insisting that the watch was not connected to the a wifi network when it patently was. First time we have had bugs in the update for the watch. It has always worked but has always been painfully slow. Thanks for your feedback.
